Training Manager SSC

Overview

As Regional Training Manager, SSC, you will lead training across SSC locations, driving capability and compliance to support operational performance. You partner with the People function and leadership to align training with talent, onboarding, and development priorities. You will deliver varied training approaches and coach managers to build team capability, shaping a consistent training culture across Gloucester and Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate training across SSC
• Deliver classroom, on-site, virtual and blended training
• Identify capability gaps and implement solutions
• Support induction and onboarding for new colleagues
• Deliver Train the Trainer activities when required
• Support leadership and colleague capability programmes
• Ensure training remains relevant to operational needs
• Maintain high completion levels for mandatory and regulatory training
• Monitor training compliance and address gaps
• Maintain training and competency records
• Coordinate specialist training and refresher requirements
• Support audits (internal, client, external)
• Ensure consistent training standards across Gloucester and Northern Ireland
• Build relationships with SLT, SSC Leadership and operational managers
• Advise on training, capability and compliance
• Support wider People, talent and succession priorities
• Provide updates on training performance, risks and priorities
• Coach managers to build capability and promote ownership of training
• Share best practice across sites
• Model Mities values and behaviours
• Promote inclusive development opportunities

Key requirements

• Strong training, facilitation, coaching and presentation skills
• Experience delivering training in operational or multi-site contexts
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management
• Ability to engage and influence colleagues at all levels
• Excellent planning, organisation and attention to detail
• Data-informed approach to identify training priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Valid UK driving licence
• Valid SIA licence (Door Supervisor preferred)
• Willingness to travel regularly to Northern Ireland
• Desirable: recognised training qualification or willingness to pursue one
• Experience in security, large operational contracts or shared service environments
