We're currently looking for a Transport Administrator to join our Gloucester Depot, providing vital administrative support to our operational teams and helping ensure the smooth running of daily transport and depot activities.
About the Role As a Transport Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting depot operations by coordinating driver administration, maintaining accurate records, managing company assets and responding to customer and operational queries.
Working closely with site management and drivers, you'll help keep our operation running efficiently while ensuring compliance with company procedures. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is highly organised and has excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities Support driver pre-brief and de-brief activities as required. Maintain driver documentation and onboarding records. Process driver setup activities, vetting checks and ID badge requests. Manage company assets including scanner and key controls.
Complete daily container counts and maintain container portal records. Monitor service provider payments and produce associated reports. Maintain accurate filing systems and operational documentation. Respond to customer and driver queries using company systems.
Produce operational reports and provide general administrative support. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and site procedures. Support managers and supervisors with additional administrative tasks as required.
What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to work effectively within a busy operational environment. Essential Skills & Experience Previous administration experience. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. A positive, flexible and team-focused approach. Desirable Previous experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or parcel distribution.
