Treasury Team Leader 6 Month FTC Location: Birmingham Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE About the Role Robert Walters are currently supporting a leading business in Birmingham in their recruitment of a Treasury Team Leader. This is a key role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day treasury operations, managing bank accounts, and ensuring effective cash management across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities of Treasury Team Leader Manage and oversee multiple corporate bank accounts across various entities and jurisdictions. Monitor daily cash positions and ensure sufficient liquidity across the business.
Lead cash forecasting and short to medium-term liquidity planning. Execute and authorise treasury transactions, including intercompany funding, transfers, and payments. Maintain strong relationships with banking partners and support banking contract negotiations.
Ensure all treasury activities comply with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements. Manage bank mandate administration, account openings, closures, and signatory maintenance. Oversee payment processing activities, ensuring accuracy, security, and timely execution.
Identify opportunities to streamline treasury processes and improve efficiency through automation and system enhancements. Support month-end, year-end, and audit requirements relating to treasury activities. Produce treasury reports and cash flow analysis for senior stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and develop a treasury team whilst driving high performance and continuous improvement. About You - Skills & Experience Previous experience within Treasury, Cash Management, Banking Operations, or Corporate Finance.
Experience managing multiple bank accounts across a complex organisation. Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting and liquidity management. Experience operating within a group finance, or multi-entity environment. Excellent knowledge of banking platforms and electronic payment systems.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external partners. High attention to detail with a strong focus on controls, governance, and risk management. Previous team leadership or people management experience.
