Leicestershire County Council is seeking a dedicated General Forestry Operative / Tree Surgeon to join our environmental team. If you take pride in managing local trees, hedges, and green spaces while upholding top-tier safety standards, we want to hear from you!
The Role As a Tree Surgeon / General Forestry Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the natural environment across the county. You will work hands-on across a variety of grounds and forestry projects, delivering works in full compliance with BS3998 2010 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out essential ground works for tree felling, dismantling, and surgery. Process felled trees, timber, and brash safely and efficiently. Execute hedge trimming, hedge layering, strimming, and planting schemes. Operate traffic control and site safety equipment on or near highways.
Maintain tools, chainsaws, and machinery to high operational standards. What We Are Looking For We are seeking candidates with strong practical experience, relevant NPTC tickets, and a sharp focus on health and safety. Essential Qualifications
