Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and time windows. Load and unload items safely, ensuring correct handling and secure placement in the van. Complete delivery paperwork. Perform routine checks on the vehicle before and after shifts, reporting any defects promptly.
Keep the vehicle clean and presentable, and ensure safe working practices at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications Full UK driving licence with entitlement to drive a van (typically Category B). Previous experience as a van driver or in a delivery role is essential.
Good knowledge of UK road safety and driving best practices. Strong time-management skills with the ability to work to delivery schedules. Ability to lift and handle goods safely and consistently throughout the shift. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
