Job Description Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator TwickenhamLocation: Twickenham, South West LondonOTE: £38,000Independent BodyshopWe are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor / Bodyshop Estimator to join a well-established independent bodyshop in Twickenham .This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional, owner-run automotive business with a strong local reputation and a focus on delivering high-quality repairs and customer service.
The RoleAs Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator, youll be responsible for assessing damaged vehicles and producing accurate repair estimates while working closely with customers, technicians, insurers and suppliers.
Your responsibilities will include
Inspecting vehicles and assessing accident damageProducing accurate repair estimatesIdentifying required parts, labour and repair methodsLiaising with insurance companies and engineersDiscussing repairs and timescales with customersObtaining authority for additional work where requiredWorking closely with Paint, Panel and MET TechniciansMonitoring repairs and keeping customers updatedEnsuring estimates accurately reflect the work requiredHelping maintain an efficient flow of work through the bodyshopWhat Were Looking ForWere looking for someone with previous experience in vehicle damage assessment, estimating or bodyshop operations .Ideally, youll have: Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, VDA or Bodyshop EstimatorGood understanding of modern vehicle repair methodsExperience using bodyshop estimating systemsStrong knowledge of accident damage and repair processesGood communication and customer service skillsConfidence dealing with insurers and engineersStrong attention to detailAbility to work effectively as part of a busy bodyshop teamATA/VDA accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
