Job Description Straight Forward Recruitment are looking for an experienced Vehicle Diagnostic Technician / Mechanic to join our reputable client's friendly, family-run independent body shop in Attleborough.£16.00 – £18.00 per hour | Permanent | Monday to Friday | 40 Hours per WeekThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled automotive professional looking for a stable, long-term position, excellent work-life balance and the opportunity to develop their career within a supportive workshop environment.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of cars and vans, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard. Benefits of the Vehicle Diagnostic Technician role include:£16.00 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experiencePermanent, full-time positionMonday to Friday only8:00am – 4:30pm40 hours per weekNo weekend workOptional overtime availableExcellent work-life balanceFriendly, family-run independent body shopStable, long-term employmentSupportive working environmentOngoing training and development opportunitiesExcellent career progression opportunitiesVaried work across cars and vansDuties of the Vehicle Diagnostic Technician include: Carrying out vehicle diagnostics and fault findingDiagnosing electrical and mechanical faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipmentCompleting mechanical repairs and maintenance efficiently and accuratelyCarrying out servicing and routine vehicle maintenanceInspecting vehicles and identifying faults or potential issuesWorking on a range of cars and vansEnsuring all repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standardMaintaining accurate records of work carried outEnsuring vehicles are safe and roadworthyMaintaining a clean, tidy and safe workshop environmentWorking effectively as part of a friendly and supportive teamRequirements for the Vehicle Diagnostic Technician role: Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / MechanicStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsExperience working on cars and vansGood knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipmentExcellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable, hardworking and professional approachGood communication and organisational skillsFull UK driving licenceMOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but is not essentialThe Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a motivated and experienced technician who takes pride in their work and is looking for a long-term career rather than just another job.
