Job Description Vehicle Technician / Semi-Skilled Technician Southend-on-Sea, Essex £50,000– £55,000 OTE Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm Alternate Saturdays: 8:00am – 1:00pm A major automotive group is expanding its Southend operation and is looking for Vehicle Technicians and Semi-Skilled Technicians (Level 3 qualified) to join a growing manufacturer-backed workshop.
This is not a repetitive fast-fit role. You’ll be working within a modern franchised environment carrying out servicing, diagnostics, warranty repairs, maintenance and fault finding on a busy and expanding passenger car operation.

What you’ll be doing Service, maintain and repair customer vehicles Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding using manufacturer equipment Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer procedures Perform mechanical, electrical and general workshop repairs Ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard Work closely with the workshop and service teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes What we’re looking for NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Semi-Skilled Technician Good understanding of diagnostics and modern vehicle systems Experience with warranty procedures is highly desirable MOT Tester would be an advantage, but not essential Full UK manual driving licence (max 3 points) What’s on offer £50,000–£55,000 OTE Basic salary plus bonus and commission structure Manufacturer and in-house technical training Modern workshop with up-to-date diagnostic equipment Strong earning potential and consistent workflow Long-term career progression within a successful automotive group If you’re a qualified technician looking for better earnings, better training and a workshop where good technicians are genuinely valued, apply now for a confidential discussion.
