Vice President, Engineering Excellence

Overview

As Vice President, Engineering Excellence, you will lead technology strategy for Technical Program Management, Quality & Eval Engineering, and Developer Experience & Internal Platforms. You’ll standardize practices, tooling, and career framework to boost delivery speed, quality, and productivity across ESS Technology.

You will influence senior leaders worldwide and shape enterprise engineering standards and enable scalable, reusable practices. This is a survivor-advancing role at a global technology leader, focused on improving how engineering teams collaborate and deliver high-impact products and AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the technology strategy for Technical Program Management, Quality & Eval Engineering, and Developer Experience & Internal Platforms, scaling standards globally.
• Lead quality and evaluation strategy, governing software testing standards and AI evaluation frameworks across products and operations.
• Prioritize cross-org programs with product, engineering, and regional leaders; manage dependencies with disciplined planning.
• Establish enterprise engineering standards, a common career framework, and tooling/CI/CD pipelines to boost productivity and scalability.
• Develop internal developer platform and AI-assisted development capabilities, evaluating and scaling productivity technologies.
• Collaborate with executive leaders to align craft standards with growth priorities.
• Represent engineering excellence in leadership forums and engage senior stakeholders across geographies.
