This leading private hospital delivers a wide range of specialist surgical services across Orthopaedics, Spinal, Gynaecology & Urology. This is an opportunity to be autonomous to manage change and continue to develop your team and provide the very best in terms of patient outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically credible and operationally strong nurse leader to take ownership of a busy surgical ward within a flagship hospital environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving clinical excellence, supporting workforce development and ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care across a fast-paced surgical setting.
ResponsibilitiesProvide visible and effective leadership across the Surgical WardTake full operational responsibility for the day-to-day management of the departmentLead, motivate and develop a large multidisciplinary nursing teamEnsure safe staffing levels and effective workforce planning across the wardDrive high standards of patient care, safety and clinical governanceOversee patient flow, bed management and operational performanceSupport recruitment, retention and staff development initiativesManage clinical incidents, audits and quality improvement projectsWork collaboratively with senior hospital leadership to support service developmentEnsure compliance with CQC standards, policies and best practice guidelinesThis is a busy and dynamic ward environment requiring a confident and resilient leader who can balance clinical oversight with operational management while maintaining exceptional patient outcomes.
