Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operative to join the nightshift team at their Darwen distribution centre.
The RoleWorking as part of a busy warehouse operation, you will be responsible for: Receiving and unloading deliveriesPicking, packing and loading customer orders accuratelyOperating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficientlyMoving and storing stock within the warehouseCarrying out stock checks and reporting discrepanciesCompleting quality checks on incoming and outgoing goodsEnsuring materials are stored safely and in the correct locationsMaintaining high housekeeping standardsFollowing all company Health & Safety proceduresSupporting the wider warehouse team to ensure orders are dispatched on timeWhat Were Looking ForCounterbalance FLT experience is essentialPrevious experience within a busy warehouse or distribution environmentConfident and safe forklift operationGood understanding of warehouse Health & SafetyStrong attention to detailReliable and hardworking approachGood communication skillsComfortable with manual handling and physical warehouse workPositive attitude and willingness to work as part of a teamExperience operating Schelling saws or CNC cutting machinery would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
