Job Description As Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities during your assigned shift, ensuring operational targets and KPIs are consistently achieved. You will lead and support warehouse teams while ensuring workflows are managed effectively in line with customer demands, staffing levels, and operational priorities.
Shift: Monday to Saturday (one day off in the middle of the week) Working Hours: 12:00 PM 8:00 PMKey Responsibilities'Operational ManagementOversee all warehouse operations during the assigned shiftEnsure productivity targets, KPIs, and service levels are consistently achievedCoordinate inbound, outbound, replenishment, and stock movement activitiesManage workflow in line with labour planning, order volumes, and operational deadlinesEnsure accurate completion of shift reports, handovers, and system updatesLeadership & People ManagementLead, motivate, and support Warehouse Operatives, Team Leaders, and FLT DriversConduct daily shift briefings and communicate operational priorities clearlySupport performance management, coaching, and employee developmentAssist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team membersPromote a positive, engaged, and safety-focused working cultureHealth, Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with health & safety legislation, company procedures, and site policiesPromote a strong safety culture through audits, reporting, and proactive engagementEnsure safe use of MHE equipment and adherence to warehouse safety proceduresInvestigate operational, product, or process-related issues where requiredMaintain high standards of housekeeping and operational complianceProcess Improvement & SystemsIdentify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and productivitySupport continuous improvement initiatives including Lean and 5S activitiesAnalyse operational performance data and contribute to problem-solving activitiesEnsure inventory accuracy and correct use of warehouse systems and processesAbout YouWe are looking for organised and proactive warehouse professionals with: Previous experience within a warehouse supervisory or shift management roleStrong leadership and people-management skillsGood understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and MHE processesExcellent communication and decision-making abilitiesStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsThe ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of health & safety legislation and best practicesDesirable ExperienceExperience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)FLT licences or operational MHE experienceWhats in it for you?
