Warehouse Supervisor Acton, London £31,000 per annum Nter Talent is supporting a growing UK distribution business in the appointment of an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to take ownership of its day-to-day warehouse operations.
Our client is an established and expanding business with a strong portfolio of major customer accounts and ambitious growth plans. As the business continues to evolve, the warehouse operation is being streamlined to ensure it remains efficient, secure and fit for purpose.
This is a key operational appointment for someone who enjoys taking ownership and being the go-to person on site. You will oversee all aspects of the warehouse, including health & safety, stock control, security and the day-to-day management of warehouse activity .
The Role As Warehouse Supervisor, you will take responsibility for ensuring the warehouse runs safely, efficiently and in an organised manner. You will be the key point of contact on site, overseeing all movement of stock and ensuring warehouse processes are followed correctly.
This is a hands-on role and, while you will have support during busy periods, you should be comfortable getting involved with deliveries, stock movements and general warehouse duties when required. Key Responsibilities Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse.
Oversee all goods in and goods out activity. Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records. Ensure stock is stored safely, securely and efficiently. Conduct and maintain regular health & safety checks and ensure site procedures are followed.
Manage and monitor warehouse security systems, including alarms and CCTV. Oversee and approve all movement of stock within the warehouse. Receive and unload deliveries when required. Supervise temporary or hourly-paid staff during busy periods or for specific operational requirements.
Complete basic administrative duties relating to warehouse operations. Ensure the warehouse is opened, secured and closed appropriately each day. Working Hours Typically 07:30 16:00 , Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturday work may be required to receive deliveries, although this is expected to be infrequent.
About You We are looking for someone with proven experience of independently supervising and running a warehouse operation. You will be confident taking responsibility for the site and making sure everything runs smoothly, safely and securely.
You should be highly organised, hands-on and comfortable being accountable for stock, processes and people on site. Essential Experience Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager or similar operational leadership role .
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and stock control. Experience carrying out and managing health & safety procedures. Knowledge of site security systems, including alarms and CCTV. Experience managing goods in, goods out and inventory processes.
Comfortable supervising warehouse staff when required. A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to support with unloading and receiving deliveries. Strong organisational skills and a high level of personal accountability.
