Job Description Job Title : Workshop ControllerLocation: CheltenhamSalary : Up to £37,000 + BonusHours: 8:30am-6pm Monday to Friday, 1 in 2 Saturdays 8:30am 12:30pmHawkfield Recruitment is working with a Main Dealership in the Cheltenham area who are looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller.
Our client is looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Workshop Controller to join our busy aftersales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the centre of the workshop, coordinating technicians, supporting Service Advisors and ensuring every customer receives an exceptional experience.
What Youll Do
Planning and controlling the daily workshop scheduleAllocating work to technicians based on skill, availability and workshop prioritiesMonitoring repair progress and ensuring work is completed on time and to the highest standardActing as the main point of communication between technicians, Service Advisors and customersProviding customers with regular progress updates and obtaining authority for additional work where requiredPreparing accurate labour and parts estimates and producing completed invoicesCarrying out quality control checks before vehicles are returned to customersMaintaining accurate workshop documentation, job cards and vehicle history recordsSupporting departmental productivity while ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and health & safety proceduresWhat Were Looking For: Full UK Driving LicencePrevious experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Supervisor or similar role within an automotive aftersales environmentStrong understanding of workshop operations, vehicle repair processes and customer service standardsWhat Youll Get:31 days paid holiday (including bank holidays), rising with length of serviceCompany pension contributionAnnual company eventsBespoke induction and ongoing development trainingStaff discounts on vehicle purchases and servicingRetail discounts for many high street storesDeath in Service benefitFree eye tests, dental and therapy treatmentsPlease know that once you have applied for this Workshop Controller vacancy, more in depth details will be given about salary and hours, and career progression with the company, so please do not hesitate to get in touch!
