The Opportunity
TLC Auto Refinishing is looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a busy commercial vehicle repair workshop.
You’ll oversee 15-20 skilled operatives across Panel, Fabrication and Paint, driving productivity, quality and efficiency while ensuring the workshop operates safely and effectively.
This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone with strong bodyshop or automotive repair experience who knows how to get the best from a team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily workshop operations, briefings and team performance.
- Oversee Panel, Fabrication and Paint departments.
- Allocate work effectively and ensure targets are achieved.
- Coordinate with Stores to maintain parts availability.
- Manage final quality checks and resolve issues quickly.
- Monitor timekeeping and performance through job clocking systems.
- Maintain high standards of H&S, PPE and company procedures.
- Drive cost‑effective working and minimise material waste.
- Report on workshop performance to management.
