Wraparound Playworker Breakfast & After-School ClubsJob Summary We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and reliable people to join our wraparound team, helping us provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for children before and after the school day.
Our wraparound provision combines active games, creative activities, free play and quieter activities, giving children the opportunity to have fun, make friends and relax outside of the school day. As a Wraparound Playworker, you will be actively involved with the children rather than simply supervising them.
You will help organise games and activities, encourage children to participate, support positive behaviour and relationships, and make sure every child feels included and welcome. Your responsibilities will include
Supervising children safely before and/or after the school day Organising and joining in with games, activities and free play Delivering a mix of sports, active games, arts and crafts, board games and quieter activities Helping children feel welcome, settled and included Encouraging positive behaviour and good relationships between children Supporting children with their individual needs Preparing and serving simple snacks and refreshments Helping with setting up and packing away the provision Following safeguarding, health and safety and company procedures Supporting safe collection and handover of children to parents and carers Working closely with colleagues to provide a consistent, reliable and enjoyable experience for children and families Who We Are Looking For We would love to hear from people who are: Friendly, positive and approachable Enthusiastic about working with children Reliable and punctual Confident engaging with primary-school-aged children Happy to get involved in games and activities Patient, caring and responsible Able to work well as part of a team Committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for every child Previous experience working with children is desirable, but attitude, reliability and the ability to engage positively with children are just as important.
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial: Wraparound or childcare provision Schools Teaching or teaching assistance Sports coaching Holiday camps Nurseries Youth work Children's clubs or activities Hours This is a part-time, term-time role.
Typical shifts may include: Breakfast Club: approximately 7:30am9:00am After-School Club: approximately 3:00pm6:00pm You may work mornings, afternoons or a combination of both depending on your availability and the needs of the provision.
There may also be opportunities for additional hours through our school sports sessions, holiday camps and other children's activities. Pay £12.71£14.00 per hour, depending on experience and level of responsibility. Why Join Us?

Safeguarding Safeguarding children is central to everything we do. The successful applicant will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding and training requirements. Appointments will be subject to satisfactory safer-recruitment checks.
