An established Independent School in Northampton is recruiting a passionate and reflective Year 1 Teacher to join its Key Stage 1 phase on a Full-Time basis, commencing with a January 2026 start. The successful Year 1 Teacher will be invited to pre-term planning ahead of the January 2026 start, attend a comprehensive induction in January 2026, and officially teach from January 2026.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality phonics and guided reading sessions as the Year 1 Teacher.
  • Use assessment to personalise learning, run small-group interventions and report progress as the Year 1 Teacher.
  • Contribute to enrichment, lead trips and liaise with parents as the Year 1 Teacher, preparing transition work before January 2026 and after the January 2026 start. (Year 1 Teacher) Requirements
  • QTS or equivalent, strong KS1 practice and a reflective approach expected of the Year 1 Teacher.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to collaborative planning as the Year 1 Teacher.
