Are you a motivated Year 5 Teacher who thrives on high-quality teaching and curricular development? A forward-thinking primary school in Haringey is recruiting a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join the upper KS2 team from January
2026. The Year 5 Teacher will be responsible for delivering sequenced lessons that develop subject knowledge and critical thinking, setting ambitious targets and running timely interventions. This Year 5 Teacher role in Haringey will include leading small-group tuition, supporting pupils’ wider personal development and contributing to phase moderation. Induction and handover will be provided ahead of January 2026, ensuring the Year 5 Teacher can begin the spring term ready to lead learning. Role responsibilities Plan, teach and assess high-quality Year 5 lessons that promote deep learning and application. Deliver focused interventions and booster sessions that address gaps and raise attainment. Collaborate with colleagues to moderate standards and refine curriculum sequences across Year 5. Support pupils’ social and emotional development and liaise with families in Haringey. Contribute to whole-school development projects and enrichment opportunities. Person specification Qualified teacher with substantial KS2 experience and evidence of strong Year 5 practice. Excellent planning, assessment and classroom-management skills with a reflective approach. Passionate about pupil progress and prepared to commence January 2026 following the induction period.
