Head of BESS

The role Our client is a fast-growing developer and full-service provider of integrated commercial energy solutions, specialising in large-scale photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) for industrial and commercial customers.

The business delivers end-to-end projects, covering design, engineering, procurement, construction and optimisation. Following a period of significant growth, they are looking to hire a Head of BESS to lead the development of their BESS strategy.

Responsibilities Development of the BESS strategy Responsible for the development, planning and approvement of BESS projects Establish and improve project management standards, processes, and governance structures. Manage project budgets, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and grid connection teams. Support strategic planning and resource allocation across the project pipeline. Requirements 5-8 years experience in the development and implementation of Renewable Energy projects.

Proven experience of BESS projects Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Industrial or Energy Engineering) Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets, risks, and contractual obligations. Strong German and English language skills.
