Procurement Team Lead The Role We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to help build and lead the procurement function within a growing biopharmaceutical organisation. The role combines hands-on purchasing, supplier management, team leadership and process development.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day procurement activities and provide functional leadership to the procurement team. Manage purchasing of materials, equipment and services, including RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations and purchase orders.
Monitor orders, deliveries and supplier performance, resolving commercial and operational issues. Support supplier selection, onboarding and qualification in collaboration with Quality and internal stakeholders. Establish effective procurement processes, procedures and performance measures.
Support the implementation and optimisation of ERP and digital procurement systems. Work closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Production, Engineering, Logistics and Finance. Contribute to the growth and development of the future procurement organisation.
Profile: Several years of operational procurement experience within an industrial environment. Experience in a regulated industry such as pharma, biotech, medtech, chemicals or food is advantageous. Previous team leadership, coordination or project management experience.
Strong commercial understanding, including supplier management, RFQs and negotiations. ERP experience and exposure to CAPEX or project procurement are advantageous. Hands-on, structured approach with the ability to establish processes within a growing organisation.
