Role Overview The Associate Director is the project‐level point of contact and is accountable for the end‐to‐end delivery of data centre construction projects across a campus environment. The role provides strong, visible on‐site leadership and is responsible for managing safety, quality, cost, schedule, risk, and stakeholder coordination across multiple workstreams.
The Associate Director leads integration of base‐build works with third‐party interfaces such as utility connections, substations, stormwater infrastructure, and other enabling works, ensuring delivery in line with approved project objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Act as the single point of accountability for delivery of assigned data centre projects. Provide visible on‐site leadership, including regular site walks, promoting a strong focus on safety, quality, and programme certainty.
Establish, chair, and minute project site meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are fully informed of progress, risks, and decisions. Prepare, maintain, and implement the Project Execution Plan (PEP) defining: Roles and responsibilities of the project team Interfaces with the Principal Contractor, consultants, vendors, and specialist subcontractors Monitor consultant, contractor, and vendor performance against contractual and project requirements.
Communication, Process agree mitigation strategies and track actions to closure. Provide input to quantitative risk analysis and schedule risk reviews. Prepare and issue: Weekly status reports Monthly Project Manager's reports Inputs to executive and stakeholder presentations Monitor programme progress, budget compliance, and forecast performance against baseline commitments.
Design, Procurement prepare recommendations for approval. Monitor and report procurement progress and readiness for construction start. Construction Phase Delivery Safety, Quality
