We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Food &, Beverage Manager to take overall responsibility for BAR BOCA and lead both the front- and back-of-house teams.
Key responsibilities include
- - Overall Leadership: Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of the restaurant, ensuring a consistently high-quality guest experience. - Team Management &, Development: Lead, mentor, coach and inspire the Executive Chef, Restaurant Manager and wider F&, B team. - Culture &, Teamwork: Create a respectful, positive and professional working environment that encourages teamwork, employee development, motivation and accountability. - Financial Management: Manage daily cost controls, budgets, revenue targets and financial performance while identifying opportunities to improve profitability. - Operational Standards: Maintain high standards of service, presentation, food quality, hygiene, safety and overall restaurant operations. - Purchasing &, Controls: Oversee purchasing, inventory, supplier relationships and operational controls in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager. - Market &, Commercial Awareness: Understand the local Curaçao market, guest preferences, buying patterns and emerging hospitality trends, while developing opportunities for events, groups and incentive business. - Guest Experience: Be a visible and welcoming presence in the restaurant, building relationships with guests and ensuring issues are handled professionally and efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Food &, Beverage Management, Restaurant Management or Hospitality Management, preferably in an upscale restaurant, resort or hotel environment.
- Degree or relevant qualification in Hospitality, Business Administration, Hotel &, Restaurant Management or Food Service Management preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
- Commercially minded with a solid understanding of budgeting, cost control and revenue management.
- Self-driven, energetic, hands-on and solution-oriented.
- Fluent in English, Dutch, Spanish and/or Papiamentu are an advantage.
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
- Valid driving license preferred.
- Professional, representative and a strong team player.
