Overview

In this role you will be a trusted technical advisor helping tech-forward companies build on Claude on the Developer Platform. You will lead deep technical engagements, guiding engineering teams on implementation and architecture to scale Claude-powered solutions. You’ll produce prototypes and documentation, collaborate with architects, and contribute to a thriving developer ecosystem. You’ll also share knowledge through content and events, while traveling to customer sites to support workshops and adoption. Responsibilities

• Serve as a deep technical advisor to high-growth, tech-forward companies and help them build innovative AI use cases
• Hands-on collaboration with customer engineering teams: pair programming, architecture reviews, and code contributions
• Develop prototypes and technical documentation, including evaluation suites and architecture diagrams
• Collaborate with Applied AI Architects to maintain continuity across engagements
• Identify patterns across engagements and feed insights to Product, Engineering, and Applied AI teams
• Create technical content for developers: documentation, tutorials, and sample code
• Foster community engagement via hackathons, webinars, and developer-focused events
• Travel to customer sites for workshops, implementation support, and relationship building

Key requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder
• Experience in customer-facing or pre-sales technical roles
• Production experience building LLM-powered applications, including prompting, context engineering, agent architectures, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale
• Strong programming skills in Python and production applications
• Experience with high-growth, tech-forward companies
• Ability to context-switch across industries (healthcare, fintech, etc.)
• Builder credibility with shipped products and practical experience
• Strong technical communication skills for architectural decisions and implementation plans
• Experience facilitating technical workshops, hackathons, or developer-focused events
