The Role

We are looking for an Architectural Technician to join our growing design team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stage of their architectural career who is keen to develop their technical skills within a fast-paced commercial property environment .

You will support the design team with the preparation, coordination, and management of technical drawings and project documentation for both new-build and refurbishment projects across the commercial and industrial sectors.

The role will involve assisting with design development, producing detailed drawings, and ensuring projects meet planning requirements, building regulations, and technical specifications .

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings using AutoCAD Support senior team members in producing detailed construction drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and schedules Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure designs meet structural and regulatory requirements Research and apply relevant building regulations, codes, materials, and construction methods Prepare documentation for planning submissions, building regulations approvals, and tender packages Assist with site visits and surveys, recording measurements and documenting existing conditions Maintain organised drawing files, technical specifications, and project documentation Participate in project meetings and collaborate with the wider design and development team Qualifications
