Area Manager

Overview

In this role you lead a large, diverse team at an Amazon operational site to keep pace with demand. You drive safety, productivity, and quality while collaborating with cross-functional partners to meet business targets. You’ll analyze performance, implement improvements, and plan for contingencies in a fast-changing environment. This position offers hands-on leadership within global operations and a clear impact on customer service and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
• Analyse and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity across all shifts and meet business objectives
• Support and lead a team while handling administrative work and fostering a strong team culture
• Analyse performance data and suggest process improvements to optimise work and customer service
• Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes
• Maintain safety standards and monitor process efficiency on site
• Prioritise routine team management, daily operations, escalations, process improvement, and contingency planning
• Work with colleagues across teams and external partners to meet customer demands and targets
• Analyse data and performance metrics with leaders and discuss technical improvements with engineers

Key requirements

• Experience using English communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
• Bachelors degree or equivalent, or experience in a relevant field
