Overview

As an Area Manager at Amazon Logistics, you will lead a site-wide team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations that meet customer demand. You’ll drive continuous improvements, oversee complex projects, and partner with senior leaders to standardise shift practices. The role blends people leadership with data-informed decision making to elevate operational excellence in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. You will mentor new managers and shape a culture focused on safety, quality, and delivery performance.

Responsibilities

• Create, oversee and promote a safety- and wellbeing-focused culture
• Analyze and implement changes to sustain high quality and productivity
• Oversee process improvement projects to streamline operations and boost service quality
• Analyze shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence
• Collaborate with senior management to standardise shift practices
• Occasionally mentor and develop new managers and drive cross-site improvements

Key requirements

• Experience leading and managing a team
• Experience using data to influence business decisions
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficient in spoken and written English (CEFR C1)
• Experience in a logistics/operations environment
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
