Based in the Soho, London office, the successful candidate will take responsibility for winning work, leading commissions, delivering projects and developing a growing team. Applications are also welcomed from candidates interested in working from the Birmingham or Leicester offices.
This position requires an experienced architect capable of acting as Lead Designer, managing major projects through every RIBA stage while supporting the wider business strategy. You will work closely with Directors to strengthen client relationships, secure new opportunities and deliver technically robust architectural solutions.

The practice is seeking an Associate Director to lead project delivery while supporting continued business growth through client engagement and service development. You will work alongside experienced senior leadership, helping shape the future direction of the architectural team while maintaining high technical standards and developing long-term client relationships across a growing portfolio of work.
Role & ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of multiple architectural projects from inception through completion ensuring quality programme commercial objectives and client expectations are consistently achievedAct as Lead Designer across complex industrial and logistics projects coordinating consultants and managing the design process through RIBA Stages 0 to 6Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients identifying opportunities to secure repeat business and new project commissionsSupport Directors with business development activities including networking client presentations fee proposals competitive tenders and strategic growth initiativesManage project programmes resources budgets and design teams ensuring projects are delivered efficiently profitably and to agreed quality standardsProduce review and coordinate technical drawing packages planning submissions tender information construction details and NBS specifications while mentoring junior colleaguesSkills & Experience RequiredDemonstrable experience acting as Lead Designer delivering major architectural projects through all RIBA Stages 0 to 6Strong knowledge and understanding of UK Town Planning policy Building Regulations and relevant British Standards for project deliveryExtensive experience producing technical drawing packages details for tender construction and comprehensive NBS specificationsExcellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly to clients and stakeholdersAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and supporting the development of junior staffExcellent organisational time management and Microsoft Office skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectivelySalary & BenefitsSalary up to 75,000 depending on experienceHybrid working following successful probation with three office days and two home working daysPension scheme healthcare scheme Perkbox discount account and SmartGo travel schemeTraining and development mentoring system CPDs external training and clear promotion progression opportunitiesRegular social events together with an extra day's holiday awarded for every three years of serviceWho Is This Role Ideal For?
