Associate Director, Estimating - Infrastructure

Overview

In this role you will lead precise estimates and cost plans for projects and programmes, shaping decisions for clients and internal teams. You will help grow Turner & Townsend’s Estimating capability and promote best practices within the department. You’ll work with Directors to construct bids, mentor staff, and engage clients and other consultants across project stages. The opportunity combines technical leadership with growth initiatives in a globally active infrastructure practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead or manage production of accurate estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes
• Develop and promote estimating best practices within the firm
• Help achieve departmental objectives and stay updated in the technical area
• Collaborate with Directors to construct bids for new work
• Provide direction and act as a role model for staff
• Interface with clients and other consultants across project stages
• Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients
• Identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities
• Staff management where appropriate
• Knowledge management activities

Key requirements

• Proven estimating management experience
• Qualified to high standard in estimating or quantity surveying with relevant experience
• Experience with estimating software packages
• Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A Cost E.
