Associate Director, Estimating - Infrastructure

Overview

As an Associate Director in Estimating, you lead the production of accurate cost plans for major projects and programmes and promote estimating best practices. You will interface with clients and other consultants, help shape bids, and guide teams to deliver value across UK and international programmes. The role supports Turner & Townsend’s growth in the infrastructure sector through data-driven estimates and strong leadership. You’ll work closely with directors to win work and develop staff while advancing our estimating capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead or manage the production of accurate estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes
• Promote estimating best practice within Turner & Townsend
• Contribute to departmental objectives and stay updated in technical area
• Collaborate with Directors on bid construction for new work
• Provide direction to staff and act as a role model for less experienced colleagues
• Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages
• Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients
• Identify and act on cross-selling opportunities
• Staff management where appropriate
• Knowledge management and sharing

Key requirements

• Proven estimating management experience
• Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience
• Experience with estimating software packages
• Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A Cost E.
• Experience on major programmes and infrastructure projects and leading teams
