This is an exceptional opportunity to work at the forefront of the UK's transition to a greener, more sustainable future, advising on high profile, market leading energy and infrastructure projects. The RoleAs a senior member of the ERM team, you will play a key role in delivering major energy and resource management projects.
Your responsibilities will include:Leading on the procurement and delivery of innovative ERM projectsDrafting, negotiating and finalising complex commercial contractsAdvising clients on commercial, strategic and regulatory issuesWorking as part of an integrated advisory team across multiple disciplinesBuilding long term relationships with public and private sector clientsSupporting the UK's decarbonisation, sustainability and net zero agendaSupervising junior team members and contributing to team developmentCandidate RequirementsThe team welcomes applicants from a range of backgrounds, including projects, construction or commercial law.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:5+ years PQEStrong commercial contracts or PFI/PPP experiencePrivate practice or in house experience within relevant sectorsExcellent technical legal skills and commercial judgementAbility to manage complex issues pragmatically and effectivelyConfidence leading day to day client interactionsExperience supervising junior lawyersInterest in business development and growing client relationshipsA collaborative, positive and flexible approachThe TeamThe ERM team advises a wide range of clients on high profile, nationally significant projects, including:Project sponsors and developersGovernment departments and regulatorsLocal authorities and public sector bodiesTypical project areas include:Energy from Waste and Waste PFI/PPPHeat Networks and District EnergySolar PV and Battery StorageCity wide decarbonisation programmesElectric Vehicle infrastructureHydrogen and Carbon CaptureSmart energy projectsOnshore and offshore windData centre energy solutionsThe team is known for its technical excellence, collaborative culture and commitment to environmental sustainability.
