Job Description If you are a practice professional and are open to new opportunities, then please contact Connor on 0141 212 3664 or email for a confidential career discussion. Your new company This is an opportunity to join a long-established and highly respected independent accountancy practice with a strong presence in the Glasgow market.

With a history spanning more than a century, the firm combines traditional client service values with a modern and forward-thinking approach. Supporting a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, charities and commercial organisations, the firm has built its reputation on delivering high-quality advice and fostering long-term client relationships.

The business employs a sizeable team of qualified professionals and continues to invest in its people, technology and technical excellence. Your new role As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in delivering audit and assurance assignments for a varied client portfolio across a range of sectors.

Working closely with managers and partners, you will be responsible for planning and completing audit fieldwork, supervising and mentoring junior staff, reviewing work, and ensuring assignments are delivered to the highest professional standards.

You will gain exposure to a broad range of businesses, allowing you to develop both your technical audit expertise and your commercial awareness. The role will also provide opportunities to build client relationships, contribute to improving audit processes and support wider advisory work where appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working in external audit within an accountancy practice environment. Applications are welcomed from candidates who are either newly qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience, provided they can demonstrate strong audit knowledge and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.

You should be comfortable managing multiple assignments, working directly with clients and supporting more junior members of the team. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach will be essential, alongside a genuine interest in helping clients achieve their business goals.

What you'll get in return In return, you will join a firm that is committed to developing and retaining its people. You will benefit from working alongside an experienced and supportive leadership team, gaining exposure to a diverse client base and enjoying genuine opportunities for professional growth and progression.

The firm offers a collaborative and close-knit working environment, where your contribution will be recognised and where you can continue building your technical and managerial capabilities as part of a respected Scottish practice.
