The Opportunity
Long Term Futures are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behaviour Therapist to join a specialist SEN school in the Greenwich area. The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), SEMH, and communication difficulties, and is committed to providing a structured, therapeutic environment.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of behaviour interventions who is passionate about supporting young people to regulate emotions, build independence, and access learning effectively. Your
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group behaviour therapy and intervention sessions
- Implement evidence-based strategies (e.G. ABA-informed approaches, behaviour plans)
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and social skills
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and therapists to ensure consistent support
- Monitor and record pupil progress, adapting interventions where needed
- Support behaviour management across the school environment
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly ASD/SEMH
- Background in behaviour support, therapy, psychology, or related field
- Strong understanding of behaviour intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and observation skills
- Patient, calm, and resilient approach
- Understanding of safeguarding, SEN practice, and therapeutic support Why Long Term Futures?
