This could be your perfect next step… We have a rare opportunity to bring on a CAD Technician with a growing client who produces products for the space and defence sectors.
Established now for over 30 years; you’d be joining them in a period of growth, looking to embed the next generation of engineering talent amongst their team. Reporting into the Mechanical Engineering Lead, you’ll be a critical bridge between design engineering and manufacturing, where you’ll translate engineering markups into existing 3D models, help manage project lifecycles and create technical documentation, i.e. manuals and data sheets.
Day-to-day responsibilities Engineering markup integration Data and revision management BOM Maintenance Technical documentation support ECN/ECO Processing Drafting standards compliance What are we looking for? 3 years + experience as a CAD technician, document controller or technical illustrator within a manufacturing and engineering environment Proficient with SolidWorks, data management systems, technical writing and documentation
Desirable
Bachelors degree in engineering Technically proficient with Adobe inDesign and able to read schematics/wiring diagrams Industry background: aerospace, defence, satcom, structural steel, heavy precision...
