Job Description Are you an experienced Class 1 Welder, Fabricator or Plater with a background in Oil & Gas, Pressure Vessels, Pipefitting, Heavy Engineering or high-integrity fabrication? Were recruiting for a well-established international engineering business looking to add a skilled Class 1 Welder / Fabricator to its manufacturing team.

Salary & Benefits 12% pension 27 days holiday plus bank holidays Two bonus schemes per year not guaranteed, but historically paid Bupa private healthcare Medicash Gym membership Overtime opportunities depending on workload Permanent day shift Working Hours Monday Thursday: 7:30am 4:00pm Friday: 7:30am 1:00pm The Role Youll be responsible for producing high-quality welded and fabricated components to demanding engineering standards.
Key duties include: Reading and interpreting isometric and engineering drawings Fabricating components accurately from detailed technical drawings Working with both metric and imperial measurements Material preparation including cutting, sawing, drilling, grinding, pipe bending and threading Carrying out Class 1 / ISO 3834 fabrication and welding Reading and working to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Producing fillet, lap, corner and butt welds Working in accordance with ASME IX and ISO 15614 Planning fabrication sequences to maintain workflow and delivery schedules Maintaining high standards of quality, workmanship and safety What Were Looking For Youll need: Proven experience as a Class 1 Welder / Fabricator / Plater Strong fabrication and plating experience Experience within Oil & Gas, Pressure Vessel, Pipefitting, Heavy Engineering or similar Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel and high-nickel alloys Knowledge of welding preparation processes Understanding of WPS documentation and welding procedures Full UK driving licence You will be expected to pass a Class 1 TIG fillet weld test as part of the recruitment process.
Experience producing welds subject to X-ray / radiographic inspection would be highly advantageous. This role would suit candidates currently working as a Class 1 Welder, TIG Welder, Coded Welder, Fabricator, Plater, Pressure Vessel Welder or Pipe Fabricator. Apply now for immediate consideration.
