Data Architect

Overview As Data Architect (Manager) at Kainos, you will provide SME guidance across data structures, data flows, sourcing, and governance. You'll collaborate with clients to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and lead the data team through challenges and delivery.

You may operate at solution or enterprise levels to resolve data definitions across complex stakeholder environments. Responsibilities Provide SME guidance in data architecture disciplines (data structures, flows, sourcing, governance) Lead and mentor data team, oversee performance and development Engage with clients to understand data requirements and assure fit-for-purpose solutions Set direction and resolve data definition and mastering issues across stakeholder environments Participate in solution or enterprise-level architecture and technology selection Contribute to project assurance, standards, and best practices Communicate thought leadership to clients and internal staff Work on data projects leveraging cutting-edge technology Key requirements Experience in UK Healthcare sector or Public Sector Strong design expertise in data architecture (data modelling, data analysis, metadata management, data transformation, data migration, master data) Proven technical leadership in data projects (mentoring, standards) Knowledge of best practice techniques and methodologies Experience with product or technology selection at project or enterprise level Excellent client engagement with technical and non-technical stakeholders Proficiency in at least three mainstream data technologies Self-starter with ability to operate under uncertainty Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop junior staff Excellent client engagement Thought leadership Mentoring and coaching Data modelling Metadata management Data transformation
