Design Manager - Water Sector

Overview

In this Design Manager role you will lead multidisciplinary design work on major water projects across the South of England, from concept to detailed design. You will collaborate with clients and a diverse team to deliver best-value solutions while fostering an innovative, collaborative environment. The position offers hybrid working from Brighton or Southampton as part of a growth-focused, people-first firm with strong industry recognition. You will shape project delivery across clean water, wastewater, flood risk and urban drainage and gain access to a global network of experts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary design team to deliver water projects from concept to detailed design
• Oversee design & build delivery, detailed design, and owners engineer services
• Plan and lead technical delivery, coordinating with clients and internal/external stakeholders
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure best-value, service excellence
• Guide and develop the team using support from a global network of experts

Key requirements

• Experienced engineer with Civil, Mechanical and Electrical, Process or relevant discipline
• Ideally chartered with a relevant engineering institution (support available to achieve Chartered status)
• Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing multiple projects and stakeholders
