Belfast and Lisburn Womens Aid provides a range of support and accommodation services for women and children experiencing domestic violence. Were currently looking for passionate, like-minded individuals to join our team and are seeking to recruit for the following post. Domestic Violence Support Worker Domestic Violence Support Workers provide emotional and practical support for women and their children who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence. This includes working with women living in refuge, moving on from refuge and women living in the community. We have 2 full-time vacancies as follows: Ref: DVSW08/26 North Belfast 37.5 hours per week Permanent Ref: DVSWMC08/26 South Belfast 37.5 hours per week Temporary Maternity Cover (6-12 months) Starting salary is £27,254 per annum (NJC scale points 9-20). Applicants should specify within their application form preferred post/location. Newly qualified social workers wishing to complete their AYE are also welcome to apply. We provide a range of support and accommodation services for women and children experiencing domestic abuse. Due to the level of contact with vulnerable women and children, the lawful recruitment of females for the following posts falls within the exemption stated in Article 10 (2b&e) of the Sex Discrimination (NI) Order 1976.
