Electrical Design Engineer | Water & Wastewater | Belfast Vickerstock are pleased to be partnering with an established engineering contractor as they continue to invest in their multidisciplinary design capability supporting major water and wastewater programmes across the UK.As part of this continued growth, they are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with previous water industry experience to join their engineering team.
With an immediate workload supporting ECI projects for Severn Trent and United Utilities, you will have the opportunity to influence projects at an early stage before supporting their development through tender and into detailed design and delivery.

You will be responsible for: Developing electrical designs for water and wastewater infrastructureProducing electrical calculations, specifications, schedules and technical documentationSupporting the specification and selection of electrical equipmentContributing to ECI, optioneering and value engineering activitiesDeveloping designs through tender, design development and detailed design stagesCoordinating electrical requirements with mechanical, process and civil engineering disciplinesWorking alongside project and construction teams to develop practical and buildable solutionsReviewing design information and supporting technical assuranceProviding engineering support throughout project delivery and resolving design queries as requiredWhat you will need to succeed as Electrical Design EngineerDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related disciplinePrevious electrical design experience within the water or wastewater sectorStrong understanding of electrical engineering principles relevant to water infrastructureExperience producing calculations, specifications and technical design documentationExperience working within multidisciplinary engineering teamsConsultancy, contractor and design & build backgrounds will all be consideredChartered status, or progression towards Chartership, would be advantageous but is not essentialWhat's in it for you?
