Electrical Engineer

Overview As an Electrical Engineer at Mitie, you'll maintain critical electrical systems across a major NHS hospital, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficient operation. You will work within the engineering team to deliver high-quality maintenance and ensure statutory compliance, directly supporting patient care and staff wellbeing.

You'll troubleshoot faults, perform testing and safety checks, and keep accurate records to drive continuous improvement. This role offers the chance to contribute to essential healthcare infrastructure in a collaborative, service-focused environment.

Pay / Benefits Virtual GP for you and your household Salary Finance and early wage access Choices flexible benefits platform Additional holiday purchase options Dental and healthcare plans MiDeals discounts Responsibilities Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs Undertake electrical testing, inspections, fault finding, and certification works Perform electrical safety checks and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) Ensure compliance with legislation, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently, minimising disruption to hospital services Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation using computerised management systems Support continuous improvement of maintenance programmes through proactive inspections and monitoring Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and hospital stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service Key requirements Level 3 City & Guilds Electrical Installation, NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, or equivalent AM2 Certification 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) Proven experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and safe systems of work Good IT skills and experience using maintenance management systems Excellent communication and customer service skills communication customer service team collaboration AM2 Certification 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) Electrical maintenance and fault finding
