Job Description HOME BASED | UK-WIDE PROJECTSWant to take full ownership of electrical projects from concept through design, delivery and commissioning? Were recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer to join a growing engineering and energy business working across power generation, renewable energy, HV/LV systems and process control .
Were equally interested in ambitious Electrical Project Engineers with strong technical foundations and solid project experience who are ready to step up. Youll be given the tools and support to develop, including the opportunity to progress towards Chartered Engineer status, but youll also be trusted to work autonomously, take ownership and drive your projects forward.
A Genuine Cradle-to-Grave Engineering Role Youll be involved throughout the complete project lifecycle, from initial feasibility and technical assessment through to: Electrical design and engineeringHV and LV systemsProject developmentGrid-connected and power generation projectsProcess control and SCADAProject delivery and technical oversightSite-based engineeringTesting and commissioningTroubleshooting and optimisationOperational handoverClient, supplier and stakeholder engagementThis is not a narrow desk-based design position.
Youll have the opportunity to see projects through from early concept to successful operation and take genuine ownership along the way. The Projects Youll work across the growing sustainable energy and power generation sector, with projects potentially including: Energy from Waste / EfWAnaerobic Digestion / ADBattery Energy Storage / BESSEnergy StorageCarbon CaptureGrid-scale power systemsIndustrial energy projectsWhat Were Looking For Wed like to hear from experienced: Electrical Project EngineersSenior Electrical EngineersElectrical Design EngineersPower Systems EngineersRelevant experience could come from power generation, renewable energy, utilities, EPC, industrial engineering, electrical consultancy or major infrastructure projects.
Experience across any of the following would be particularly valuable: HV / LV electrical systemsPower generationGrid integrationSCADA and process controlRenewable energyBESS / energy storageElectrical commissioningIndustrial electrical systemsYoull ideally hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status would be highly desirable, but candidates who are working towards Chartership will be strongly considered. Not Chartered? If you can demonstrate exceptional electrical project experience and the ability to take projects through design, delivery and commissioning, we still want to hear from you.
