Reference: HSJ921958217_1786024785Employment Associate (4+ PQE) - BristolAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Employment Associate to join a highly regarded Employment & HR team based in Bristol. This is a varied role offering exposure to a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work where you will advise a diverse portfolio of employer clients, ranging from SMEs to larger national businesses.

Working as part of a well-established national team, you will handle: Employment Tribunal litigation from initial instruction through to final hearingComplex and high-value employment disputesDay-to-day HR and employment law advisory workDisciplinary, grievance and performance management mattersRedundancy and restructuring projectsDiscrimination and employee relations issuesDrafting and reviewing contracts of employment, policies and staff handbooksSettlement agreements and exit negotiationsEmployment-related data protection mattersCorporate support and transactional employment work where requiredCandidate RequirementsWe are keen to hear from qualified Solicitors with at least 4 years' PQE gained within a recognised employment practice.

You will ideally have: Strong experience advising employer clients across a broad spectrum of employment law mattersExperience managing Employment Tribunal claims from inception to conclusionConfidence handling disclosure exercises, witness statements and case preparationExcellent technical knowledge across contentious and advisory employment law workExperience drafting contracts, policies, handbooks and settlement agreementsStrong drafting, communication and relationship-building skillsProven ability to manage your own caseload effectivelyAn interest in business development and growing client relationshipsExperience supporting corporate transactions and business transfers would be advantageous but is not essential.
