Overview In this role you will advance Citi's Global Market Data platform for the global equities business, focusing on low-latency data delivery and system enhancements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including production support and traders to implement new functionality and coordinate exchange-driven changes.
The role offers hands-on work with Java-based microservices and real-time data processing in a fast-paced trading environment. You will help shape the platform's evolution and deepen your understanding of equity trading dynamics.
Responsibilities Develop new functionality for the Global Market Data platform Design and develop system features and improve application capabilities Support deployed market data systems with production teams Coordinate exchange-mandated changes impacting the platform Improve functionality driven by the Electronic Trading Desk Support existing market data applications and clients Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders and support staff Learn and contribute to understanding of the Equity Trading business Key requirements Significant Java experience Perl/Shell scripting experience Knowledge of Microservices architecture (big plus) Experience building ultra-low latency market data platforms (big plus) Ability to work under tight deadlines as part of a team Effective communication across different stakeholder groups Good understanding of Network Protocols – Multicast/TCP/IP Team collaboration Troubleshooting under pressure Clear communication with diverse stakeholders Java Perl/Shell scripting Microservices architecture
