EVENTS OPERATIONS MANAGER p Are you an experienced events professional with a strong background in delivering live events and managing operations? Do you have experience sourcing venues, managing budgets, leading teams and taking ownership of multiple projects at once? /p p br /p p We are looking for an experienced strong Events Operations Manager /strong to take a leading role within our growing international events business. /p p br /p p This is a hands-on position for someone who can take responsibility, work independently and oversee both the planning and delivery of events as well as wider day-to-day company operations. br /p The Company p TCCHE is a small international events and education company producing events with well-known authors, speakers and performers across the UK, US, Canada and other international locations. /p p Our work focuses particularly on personal development, consciousness, wellbeing and the bridge between science and spirituality. /p p We produce conferences, theatre-style speaking events, workshops, retreats and live performance events.
More information can be found at strong www.tcche.org /strong . br /p Responsibilities ul li strong Source and secure venues /strong for events internationally, including researching suitable venues, making initial approaches, obtaining proposals and negotiating commercial terms. /li li Manage venue relationships from initial enquiry through contracting and event delivery. /li li Develop and maintain strong event budgets /strong , including forecasting, supplier costs, deposits, payment schedules and final reconciliation. /li li Oversee the planning and execution of events from initial concept through to completion. /li li Manage production and logistics for conferences, theatre-style events, workshops and other live events. /li li Manage event timelines, operational plans and key deadlines. /li li Delegate work effectively and ensure projects are being completed to agreed standards and deadlines. /li li Assist with recruitment and management of temporary event staff and volunteers where required. /li li Support the general day-to-day operations of the company and help ensure systems and processes are running effectively. /li li Identify operational problems and implement practical solutions. /li li Work across departments including marketing, finance, ticketing and customer service to ensure events are delivered successfully. /li li Manage event stock, merchandise and associated logistics where required. /li li Attend events in the UK and internationally and take a senior operational role onsite. /li li Handle other operational and event-related responsibilities as required within a small and fast-moving company. br /li /ul Requirements ul li strong Strong professional background in the events industry. /strong /li li Significant experience managing and delivering live events. /li li Experience sourcing, evaluating and negotiating with venues. /li li Experience creating and managing event budgets. /li li Experience managing suppliers and commercial relationships. /li li strong Previous managerial experience /strong , including managing staff, freelancers or event teams. /li li Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently with limited supervision. /li li Strong commercial awareness and confidence negotiating costs and contractual terms. /li li Excellent organisational and project management skills. /li li Ability to manage several events and priorities simultaneously. /li li Strong problem-solving skills, common sense and a practical approach. /li li Excellent written and verbal communication skills. /li li Strong attention to detail. /li li Confident working with budgets, spreadsheets and financial information. /li li Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. /li li Comfortable working in a small business where responsibilities may extend beyond a narrowly defined role. /li li Willingness and ability to travel internationally and work occasional weekends when events take place. br /li /ul Industry Knowledge p Experience or a strong understanding of our strong niche is highly desirable /strong . /p p We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked within or have a genuine understanding of areas such as: /p ul li Personal development /li li Wellness and wellbeing /li li Consciousness and spirituality /li li Mind-body health /li li Educational conferences /li li Author and speaker events /li li Theatre-style talks and live experiences /li /ul li br /li p Experience working directly with strong authors, speakers, performers or recognised public figures /strong would also be advantageous. br /p Personal Attributes p We are looking for someone who is: /p ul li Highly organised and dependable with strong ethical values. /li li Comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions. /li li Commercially minded and confident negotiating. /li li Calm under pressure. /li li Proactive rather than waiting to be instructed. /li li Able to see both the detail and the bigger picture. /li li A strong manager and communicator. /li li Comfortable working directly with senior management. /li li Resourceful and able to find solutions quickly. /li li Genuinely interested in producing exceptional events and experiences. br /li /ul Working Hours p The position is full-time, normally Monday to Friday. /p p The role is primarily remote, although some office or venue-based work may be required. /p p Event work will occasionally require evenings and weekends, with international travel an important part of the position. br /p What to Expect p You will work directly with company leadership and have significant responsibility for the planning and operation of our events. /p p You will regularly deal with venues, suppliers, speakers, performers, partners and other senior external contacts. /p p As a small company, we are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership rather than working within a highly departmentalised corporate structure.
