Job Description Fractional Finance Director Annual Salary: £125-150k pro-rata Location: London Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week) We are recruiting for a specialist consultancy who is seeking a Fractional Finance Director to provide Board-level leadership across Finance.
This role ensures strong governance, effective organisational support, and scalable processes that enable the business to deliver its strategic priorities and targets. Day-to-day of
the role
Leadership and Governance Actively contribute as a Board member. Work closely with Directors and Partners to help shape strategy, culture, and organisational priorities. Act as an active member of the Senior Management Team, implementing strategy across the business.
Lead and develop the Finance function, balancing day-to-day management with strategic focus. Financial Reporting and Governance Own the monthly Board pack and ensure timely, accurate reporting. Oversee management accounts, financial statements, and group consolidation.
Manage VAT returns, corporation tax, and other tax-related requirements. Maintain strong financial governance and manage relationships with external accountants and banking partners. Planning, Forecasting, and Commercial Oversight Manage the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting.
Oversee company project revenue reporting and tracking. Monitor pipeline reporting and support visibility of future income. Lead project margin reporting and consultant team delivery capacity forecasting. Cash, Payroll, and Compliance Manage cashflow, including foreign exchange planning.
Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with company policies. Manage payroll provider relationships and oversee company pension arrangements. Review and manage staff cost planning and forecasting. Business Leadership & Support Contribute to the remuneration and benefits strategy.
Oversee employee benefits arrangements. Support performance review processes and contract negotiations. Ensure company systems and processes are aligned with growth plans and strategic priorities. Required Skills &
Qualifications
Qualified Accountant with proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a strategic advisory or consultancy environment. Strong leadership skills with experience in Board-level operations. Expertise in financial reporting, tax, and compliance.
Ability to manage complex budgets and financial forecasting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with multiple teams. Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
