Forward Deployed Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer in London, you will drive end-to-end technical delivery of enterprise solutions that embed monday.com’s AI Work Platform into complex tech stacks. You’ll own multi-workstream engagements, define technical direction, and deliver measurable business outcomes in production. You’ll mentor peers, shape tooling strategy, and advocate for customers with Product and R&D. This role blends hands-on engineering with high-impact client work in a hybrid London setting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical design of complex, multi-workstream engagements (architecture, integrations, security, scale)
• Lead technical scoping before/after sales; define deliverables, effort, and delivery plan
• Deliver outcome-based engagements with business metrics in production; define success criteria and post-go-live model
• Engineer AI-driven solutions using monday.com APIs, MCP, and apps framework; enable data migrations and enterprise integrations
• Lead technical consulting on AI transformation, system scale, security, governance, and data architecture
• Manage both collaborative and standalone engagements, including customer communication and delivery sequencing
• Mentor engineers; set standards for code quality, testing, docs, and AI reliability
• Produce customer-facing documentation, walkthroughs, and exit artifacts for operation and extension
• Advocate for customers with Product and R&D to extend capabilities
• Contribute to global Services tooling roadmap and reusable assets
• Travel up to 20% as needed
• Support post-sale delivery planning and commercial alignment with account teams

Key requirements

• 5+ years in forward deployed engineering, software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting with hands-on delivery for external customers in enterprise environments
• Broad technical depth across stack; not a pure frontend or backend specialist
• Fluency in Generative and Agentic AI development (LLM workflows, agent orchestration, tool use)
• Experience keeping AI reliable in production (evaluation harnesses, guardrails, HIT review, tracing, failure modes)
• Strong API knowledge (REST, GraphQL), webhooks, MCP, identity management (SCIM), and auth protocols (SAML 2.0 / OAuth 2.0)
• Software development in TypeScript/JavaScript with React or Node.js; full-stack preferred
• Hands-on enterprise data mobility and integrations (SQL, scripts, n8n or Workato automations)
• Production engineering practice (version control, automated testing, CI/CD) and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience scoping/estimating technical work and delivering to outcomes/timelines
• Consultative communication to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders; adaptable across domains
• Willingness to travel up to 20%
• BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience preferred
