Job Description GroundworkerSocial Housing Reactive MaintenanceSouth East London (Wandsworth, Croydon, Merton, Bromley, Lambeth & Southwark)£50,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel CardPermanent PositionWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworker to join a well-established social housing contractor covering the South East London area.
This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled Groundworker with experience carrying out repairs and maintenance within occupied and void social housing properties. The role offers a varied workload across reactive and planned maintenance, undertaking a range of external repairs and groundworks to residential properties and communal areas.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out a variety of groundworks and external repairsFencing repairs and replacementsPaving, slab laying and pathway repairsConcrete repairs and reinstatement worksDrainage repairs and maintenanceBrickwork and minor masonry repairsWorking on both occupied and void social housing propertiesAccurately updating jobs and completing reports using a PDA systemEnsuring all work is completed safely and to a high standardRequirements: Proven experience as a Groundworker within the social housing, maintenance or construction sectorExperience working in occupied and void propertiesStrong knowledge of fencing, paving, drainage and general external maintenance worksPrevious experience using a PDA or handheld device to manage workloadsFull UK Driving Licence, no more than 3 pointsWillingness to undertake a DBS check - with no unspent criminal convictionsIn return, you'll be joining a reputable contractor that offers long-term stability, a supportive working environment and the opportunity to work as part of an established maintenance team.
