Job Description This is an excellent opportunity for a first or second mover from accountancy practice looking to build a career within a Group Finance environment. You'll gain broad exposure across Group accounting, financial reporting, statutory accounts, technical accounting and M&A, working within a complex structure of around 20 entities, multiple currencies and significant consolidation activity.

Client Details Michael Page Finance is partnering with one of our key clients in North Yorkshire, to recruit a technically strong and ambitious Group Accountant. Description Support monthly Group financial reporting and consolidation processes.

Prepare and review consolidation workings across multiple entities. Support statutory accounts and external reporting requirements. Perform technical accounting reviews and GAAP gap analysis. Research accounting issues and recommend appropriate treatments.

Support external audit processes and respond to audit queries. Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements. Support digital tax and digital audit projects. Provide accounting support for acquisitions, M&A and post-acquisition integration.

Work closely with Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Legal teams. Assist with holding company accounting and dividend payments. Support senior leadership meetings through preparation of commentary and analysis. Contribute to Group finance projects and process improvements.

Profile ACA qualification with strong technical accounting experience. A good understanding of financial reporting and accounting standards. Experience working with complex financial information and/or Group structures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ability to independently research technical accounting matters and communicate conclusions clearly. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Confidence working with senior stakeholders and external auditors.

A curious, commercially minded approach and genuine interest in understanding the wider business. Ambition to develop a long-term career within Group Finance. Job Offer Salary between £50,000 and £60,000, dependent on the level of experience.
