Job Description Semi Senior Accountant / Accounts Senior (Practice) Harrogate Study Support Available (ACCA / ACA) A well-established independent accountancy practice in Harrogate is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant or Accounts Senior to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practice professional who enjoys broad client exposure hands-on accounting work and a more relaxed people-focused environment than many traditional firms offer. The firm has built an excellent reputation for client service and works with a varied portfolio of businesses offering exposure to more interesting and complex work rather than purely compliance-led assignments.
The Role Youll work closely with the Accounts Manager and Practice leadership team supporting a diverse client base across a broad range of accounting responsibilities including: Accounts production Corporate tax compliance VAT returns Higher-level bookkeeping work Occasional payroll support Client communication and relationship management This is a varied hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple areas rather than specialising narrowly.
About You The successful candidate will ideally have: Previous experience working within an accountancy practice Accounts production experience Exposure to VAT and corporate tax work A well-rounded technical skillset Strong communication and client-facing skills A reliable team-oriented and approachable personality The firm is open to candidates at semi senior or accounts senior level including part-qualified ACA / ACCA professionals seeking further development.
