Head of Corporate Law (Mergers & Acquisitions) Worcester | Hybrid Working | £100,000 DOE GMP Recruitment are proud to be supporting a highly respected Worcester based law firm for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Corporate Law to lead its expanding corporate department, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
This is a senior strategic position, combining high-level legal expertise with leadership and client development responsibilities. To be considered for this position you must be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with significant PQE (5 years +) in corporate law and possess expert negotiation skills.
You will play a key role in shaping the firm's corporate practice, advising on complex transactions, and building long-term relationships with corporate clients across the UK. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all corporate law matters, with emphasis on M&A transactions Advise clients on acquisitions, disposals, restructuring, and joint ventures Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and transactional agreements Manage due diligence processes and transaction structuring Develop and grow the corporate client portfolio Supervise and mentor junior solicitors and associates Work closely with partners on strategic firm development Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal standards Candidate Requirements Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with significant PQE in corporate law Strong track record in mergers and acquisitions (mid-market or above preferred) Proven leadership or team management experience Excellent negotiation, drafting, and client-facing skills Commercially minded with strong business development capability Ability to manage high-value, complex transactions under pressure Salary & Benefits Our client offers an excellent package including: Competitive salary circa £100,000+ depending on experience Leadership role with genuine influence over departmental strategy Opportunity to build and shape a growing corporate practice Supportive and ambitious firm environment Hybrid and flexible working options Performance-related bonuses (where applicable) For further information or a confidential discussion, please click apply.
