Job ID: 5726Salary: 35000 - 45000Location: North LondonRegion: Middlesex, South EastAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a safety professional to join a leading civil engineering company with a particular focus working on highways contracts.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on civil engineering or highways projects and have a NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum.
The Role
To support the development of a strong Health and Safety focused culture across the project and promote good safety behavioursTo be an expert in Health and Safety legislation and best practice to assist with compliance and continuous improvementTo support the development of measurement systems to ensure that Health and Safety performance are accurately monitoredTo liaise with employees, subcontractors and suppliers on Health and Safety matters as requiredTo identify possible operational risks or opportunities and work with central Health and Safety Team to ensure an appropriate and effective responseTo support the development of briefing and communication strategies to ensure that the Health and Safety plan and important information is understood and operated by all employees and subcontractorsTo promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contactsMust have relevant Civil engineering experienceHighway experience would be a distinct advantageQualifications:2-5 years health & safety experienceNEBOSH Construction CertificateTech IOSHBenefits: Health care, pension and 25 days holiday
